Operation We R Grateful - Challenge #7

Operation We R Grateful - Challenge #7

Thank You

This is my submission for challenge #7 over at Inking It Up.  I had an extra flower that I had from some cards I made several weeks ago.  The flower was cut from Mother's Day Bouquet.   Sentiment again is from PTI.  I am so proud of myself for completing this challenge and I am hopeful the troops will like the cards I made.  I hope it helps to bring some joy to their life!

Thanks for stopping by....

Cricut Circle Calling Card

Hey Everyone,

I did not post for the past couple weeks (because I was sick AGAIN! ugh).  Anyway, I did not get to share with you the calling cards that I created for the Cricut Circle Meet Up in Atlanta that happened last Friday. It was so awesome, meeting some cool fellow crafters, awesome make & take with Teresa Collins, Cricut updates from Shannon at Provocraft (she is hilarious), meeting Cindy Royal (DT) & Deanna (DT) and let's not forget the awesome giveaways (I love how they made sure everyone won at least one prize)!!!   They gave away an Imagine, Yudu, Several Your Story's, several Yudu Card Shops, gypsy sleeves, the new Cuttlebug system, new Cuttlebug embossing folders, quilling kit, etc....  Very nice.  I won a Yudu screen and Life's A Party cart.  They also had some cool stuff for sale.

It was tons of fun and I look forward to the next one that I can attend!  (Orlando is coming up and I hope I can swing it...plus I can meet some of the CTO DT)

Anyway, I digress....  I just wanted to share with you my calling card.  I needed to make 50 of them and I did not have a lot of time to come up with one, but I did like the way it ended up turning out (even tho I did not get to bling them up with my Diamond Stickles like I wanted).  I love this Rich Razzleberry cardstock from Stampin Up.  It is one of my new favs....

Let me know what you think!  As always, thanks for stopping by!

CTO - Challenge #3 Using Green, White & 1 Optional Color

Hi Everyone,

Today's post is for the CTO Challenge #3.  The challenge is to create a project using green, white and an additional color optional.  I chose to use an additional color, Stampin Up's Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and White.

For my card, I chose to make an A2 size card.  I punched (12) squares using 1 1/4" SU punch.  I then embossed each square using various cuttlebug folders.  I used some Diamond stickles to bling up the various squares.

I then cut two different flowers from Mother's Day Bouquet, one in Rich Razzleberry and one in Old Olive.  I also ran them through my Cuttlebug (Swiss Dots & d'Vine Swirl)

For the little purse, again the flower is cut from Mother's Day Bouquet.  The purse itself was cut from Forever Young at fit to page, which I believe ended up being around 5".  I took my white Ink Essentials pen and faux stitched the purse and the flower to give it a little pizazz.  I put a white brad in the center of the flower and punched holes on either side and used the Old Olive striped grosgrain ribbon from SU to make the handle.  Love how this little purse turned out.  :)  I also like the color combination of the Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry.  I think I will use it to make my calling cards for this week's Circle Meet Up on Friday.  Yes, I have about 50 cards to make, I have not started and they have to be done by Thursday night.  Talk about waiting until the last minute....LOL  The story of my life!

Anyway, I can't wait to see what the rest of you come up with for the challenge.  Make sure to play along.  Click here to play along and to see what the rest of the design team have come up with!

Happy Crafting.....

Nicole

MPS Challenge - 02/09/11

Hey Everyone,

I created this card and decided to enter it into the MPS challenge today.  The challenge is to create a card that is Springy, Valentinesy or that just makes you happy!  This card makes me very happy.  I am very pleased with how it turned out.  I only used my cricut for one cut, the flowers on the back.  I used my Stampin Up stamps on the inside, lots of distressing around the edges with my Tim Holtz ink.

I created this trifold card and used a little key brad to keep it closed.  There is lots of layering, textures, etc. on this card and I am pleased with how it turned out.  I finally used my SU Wonder Crayons that I have had for many months now.  I like how the shading turnded out with the colors on the flowers.  I blinged it up the flowers a little more with my favorite, yes.... Diamond Stickles! :)  Can never use them enough!

Anyway, thanks for dropping by and let me know what you think.....
