Throwback Thursday Challenge

***Use either "Wild CardOR "Just Because" cartridges! & PLEASE incorporate some EMBOSSING somewhere on any project of your choice! You can dry or heat emboss, whichever you prefer!

I used the Wild Card Cart for this challenge.  My cousin just had a baby boy, so I decided to accomplish two things at once.

I used the clothes pin card and cut it at 5".  I cut the phrase at 7", so it would come out a little better.  I embossed the sentiment on the inside of the card and on the envelope design.  It did not come out as great as I had envisioned in my mind...but it will work.  Plus I need to mail out the gift tomorrow, so I don't really have time to do another card.  Such as life, that things don't always go as planned!

Anyway, be sure to check out Emma's blog this week.  She is having sneak peeks of her new stamp set that is going to be released on Friday.  There are many opportunities to win so make sure you check out her blog and her DTs' blogs to optimize your chances.

Good Luck and Happy Crafting!!

Bookmark

Hey Everyone,

This is just a quick post to share a bookmark I made for my co-worker's daughter.  She just had surgery on her foot and I wanted to give her a little gift.  She loves to read, so I bought her a couple books and made her a bookmark in her favorite color purple!

I finally experimented with my Cri-Kit pens (that I have had for months and months!).  Her name is Ariel, so I used my Disney Dreams Come True to write her name on the bookmark.  I used TBM for the tag.  I used my gypsy to size it just right, with the name on the inside.

On the back side of the bookmark, I used one of my new stamps from Emma's (My Creative Time) last stamp release (Inspiring Words).  I love this inspirational/motivating stamps from this past release.  I also used one of Tim Holtz's Visual Artistry (Life's Possibilities) stamp set.  I used Dusty Concord Distressed Ink and Holographic Embossing Powder for the front and black embossing powder for the words on the back...

I hope she likes it....

Thanks for stopping by!

I hope you enjoy this project.  It means a lot to me and it is primarily done, but I am sure I will continue to add more as I incorporate the photos and journaling bits into the project.  Please let me know what you think!!

CTO Challenge #21 - Christmas in July No Red

Hey Everyone,

Today's challenge over at CTO is Christmas in July (no RED).  Here is my card that I made.  I used Christmas Cards cart to make my card.  Papers are from PTI.  Of course, I blinged it up with Stickles...love my stickles!  ;-)

I doodles along the edges to give it a little more, using my Sakura pen and Soufle pen.  I cut all of the cuts twice and popped them up with Zots and Dimensionals.  I also used Frosted Lace stickles for the snow on the branches and the Distressed cuttlebug folder to add texture to the branch.

Thanks for stopping by!  Make sure you check out the CTO blog to see what the rest of the awesome DT has come up with and to link up your very own project.

CTO Challenge #19 - Celebrating Summer

Hi Everyone,

Today is Challenge #19 over at CTO with the theme of "Celebrating Summer" and you must use a sun.  I decided to use A Child's Year cart for this project along with Accent Essentials.  I saw this "sun" in the first issue of the Cricut Magazine (pg. 44) and had to recreate it.  The butterflies are from a MS punch.  Crushed Curry Cardstock is from Stampin Up, (this color is currently on sale for 1.49/pk on the clearance rack).  Patterned paper, sentiment, ribbon and button are also from Stampin Up.  I used some stickles for the ice cream and Vintage Photo Distressed Ink for my inking/distressing.

I hope you liked my Celebrating Summer fun project.  Ice cream, sun and fun always seem to happen in the summer....  Make sure you click Here to see what the rest of our talented DT has created and to also enter your own Summer Fun project over at CTO and have a chance to be entered into the giveaway!

Operation We R Grateful - Challenge #1

Operation We R Grateful - Challenge #1

Thinking of You

Ok.  So this is my last post of the day.  I have to say, this is the most I have ever posted in one day!  Whew!  Well, I did challenge #1 last, which is a Thinking of You card.  I used Gypsy Wanderings for the sentiment and I used PTI & Stampin Up cardstock/ribbon.  The little flower is from Imagine Better Together.  I did add a little i-Rock bling for the flowers.  I hope it is ok.  I guess I just could not make it through the whole day without ANY bling...lol

Well, I hope you Kassidy over at Inking it Up likes the cards that I made.  I will be sending them out to her in the mail tomorrow.  It feels good knowing that these cards are going to a good cause.  I can't tell you how many cards I have sitting in a box.  Knowing that this will hopefully brighten someone's day makes me feel Awesome!

Please click here to participate in this challenge!  It is definitely a worthwhile cause!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Operation We Are Grateful - Challenge #2

Operation We Are Grateful - Challenge #2

Happy Birthday

I have decided to participate in Operation We Are Grateful over at Inking it Up with Kassidy.  This is where we make cards for our troops to show them they are appreciated.  There are seven challenges in total.  This is the first card that I have completed!  Challenge #2 - Birthday.

I would have loved to bling my card up a bit, but it is requested that you not use glitter products as it does not hold up well during the travel to our troops.  I did use a little glimmer mist just to add a little sparkle.

Bridal Shower Card

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing a card that I made for my co-worker's bridal shower party that we had at work.  I make all the cards for the birthdays etc.  Anyway, this card is for the same girl that I did her Save the Date and wedding invitations so I wanted to keep it in the same color scheme.

This is not an original idea and was actually inspired/"scrap-lifted" from the Cricut Circle Magazine June issue.  I switched it up but it still looks very similar to the one in the Circle Magazine.  I just had to use it as it fit the color theme of her wedding.

Here is a reminder of what the save the date & wedding invitations looked like:

I am also entering this in the Wacky Wednesday Emboss It challenge....

Let me know what you think!
